Turkish club Anadolu Efes Istanbul has signed journeyman NBA shooting guard Toney Douglas until the end of the season, per EuroLeague.net.
Douglas, 31, had not signed with an NBA team to start this season. He played with the Memphis Grizzlies last season, as he averaged 4.9 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 24 games.
Douglas, a former first-round pick, has also played for the New York Knicks, New Orleans Pelicans, Houston Rockets, Golden State Warriors, and Sacramento Kings, averaging 7.6 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2.3 assists over the course of his seven-year NBA career.

Anadolu Efes Istanbul desperately needs Douglas to help improve their faltering EuroLeague campaign. They are currently tied for the worst record in their league 4-11. Douglas' ability to create offense for himself and also to set his teammates up will be a particularly valuable skill which the team needs.
Istanbul currently features former NBA players Derrick Brown and Ricky Ledo, as well as Errick McCollum and Zoran Dragic, the brothers of NBA stars CJ McCollum and Goran Dragic.
