For several years now, Buddy Hield has been horribly overlooked as one of the premier shooting guards in the NBA. After enduring consecutive losing seasons with a dysfunctional team that has no clear direction, it's time for the Sacramento Kings to give Hield his due by trading him to a contender. Given his skillsets and athletic abilities, there will definitely be plenty of teams interested that could properly utilize all of his talents.
Having said that, let's take a look at the four teams that are potential trade destinations for Buddy Hield.
Los Angeles Lakers
They're a team that was ravaged by injuries for the entire second half of last season and need to do all they can to maximize the closing championship window for LeBron James while managing the health of Anthony Davis. With the acquisition of Hield, the Los Angeles Lakers find the perfect complement to James and Davis.
With Hield's unique skill set, he is able to play both the shooting guard and small forward spots, which provides this veteran Lakers team with a reliable scorer capable of creating his own shot. This also brings them defensive versatility on the perimeter with his ability to defend point guards, shooting guards, and small forwards alike.
Buddy Hield's skill and athleticism is something that's desperately needed on a team that's lacking scoring depth and a clutch defensive presence. The addition of Hield also gives the Lakers a great young star to pair with Anthony Davis after LeBron James retires. Between Davis and Hield's multi-faceted two-way play, the future of the Lakers would look very bright. If the Lakers want to return to title contention, then Rob Pelinka should definitely consider making a trade for Hield this offseason.
Golden State Warriors
Despite a historic and MVP-caliber season that saw Stephen Curry break multiple scoring records, the one constant for the Golden State Warriors this season was not having a strong enough supporting cast around Curry that could lessen his scoring load. In Hield, the Warriors would have an electrifying scorer with a strong defensive prowess.
With Klay Thompson expecting to be back at full health next season, a scoring trio of Curry, Thompson, and Hield could really light up the scoreboard and wear out opposing defenses with their killer ball movement and red hot shooting. Add to that Draymond Green running point-forward for them and bringing his defensive tenacity on a nightly basis and they'll be near unstoppable.
With a core four of Curry, Thompson, Green, and Buddy Hield, the Warriors could start building a contender again and make a few more title runs. Not to mention they'd probably be the league leader in scoring and three-point shooting once again. Looking to be back in the playoff mix next season, this move would undoubtedly put them over the top. If Bob Meyers wants the Warriors to be back among the NBA's elite, then this move is a no-brainer.

Philadelphia 76ers
After another disappointing end to their season, the Philadelphia 76ers will most assuredly be looking to add more talent to their roster this summer, and Buddy Hield would make for the perfect addition. With the growing possibility of the Sixers moving on from Tobias Harris this summer, they'll have a void to fill at the small forward spot and Hield would be the perfect player to fill that void.
His limitless scoring range and slashing ability would really space the floor for Joel Embiid and their other shooters. Plus with Hield also having the flexibility to fill in at shooting guard, he and Ben Simmons would be able to form a dynamic and defensive-minded backcourt.
Adding Hield to this surging Sixers squad would also provide them with a strong wing defender and elite scorer that can light it up from anywhere on the floor in crunch time scenarios. With the Sixers looking to get over the hump next season, this is a move that could do wonders for them.
New Orleans Pelicans
On the verge of being a team in complete disarray, the New Orleans Pelicans need to do all they can to satisfy Zion Williamson. For them, the first order of business must be to get more help for Zion. A great start would be adding a young and athletic talent in Buddy Hield who can provide the team with a reliable scoring threat and strong perimeter defense that would complement Williamson's game perfectly.
With an exciting duo in Williamson and Brandon Ingram and a multi-skilled backcourt of Hield and Eric Bledsoe, the Pelicans would be able to stay in the playoff mix while still growing and developing as a young team in the ultra-competitive Western Conference. This move won't make them instant title contenders, but it gives them more young talent that can boost their chances of making the playoffs while keeping Zion happy at the same time.
