The 2018 All-Star game is right around the corner with the game taking a bit of a spin this year with how the teams were selected. Instead of the typical Western vs. Eastern Conference teams squaring off, it will now become Team LeBron vs. Team Curry in the All-Star on Sunday. With LeBron at the helm of his team, he had some interesting words on what the players must do on Sunday.
James joined Kevin Durant in an interview talking about the All-Star game in which each player stepped up in saying they need to do a better job on Sunday and leading the players. However in the video below, James states: “It's our obligation to go out and try and kill each other on the basketball floor, that is our obligation”
Article Continues BelowJames also quoted in the video interview stating that: “It is our job and we owe it to the fans” . For the past years the All-Star game has been run by 3-pointers and alley oops. However could James change the way the All-Star game is played with this type of attitude.
Some of the best players in the NBA will be joining Team James in the game such as Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and LaMarcus Aldridge. With the skill set of these players, the game can easily be transition into a tight defensive game that gets the crowd into it.
Team LeBron and Curry will face off in the 2018 All-Star in the Staples Center, Los Angeles on Sunday February 18th 2018. It will be interesting to see if any player will be willing to go out and “try and kill each other” on the court.
