The New York Giants are coming off yet another disappointing season with Daniel Jones as the quarterback. But even with Jones still yet to fulfill the lofty expectations set on him after former Giants general manager David Gettleman took him sixth overall in 2019 NFL Draft, it seems that the quarterback's job in New York is safe for at least one more season.

The Giants have just hired a new general manager in Joe Schoen and welcomed a new head coach in Brian Daboll, and the two seem to be very high on Jones, which is definitely good news for the quarterback out of Duke. Schoen has already offered his praises for Jones, per Dan Beton of USA Today.

“I’ve looked at Daniel and you know, once the new staff gets in here — offensive coordinator, head coach, entire staff — dive into the film as a group and look at what Daniel does best. We’re going to allow him to put his best foot forward,” Schoen said.

As for Daboll, he's apparently excited to work with Jones, according to former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky.

The 2022 NFL season could be a make-or-break for Jones. He only has a year left on his current contract, which would earn him $965,000 next season. So far in his pro career, Jones has amassed 8,389 passing yards, 45 passing touchdowns, and 29 interceptions. If there's a season where he proves he really is a franchise quarterback for the Giants, it's got to be in this year. Having a supporting general manager and head coach is a good development for the 24-year-old Jones.
