The New York Giants will be looking to make some strides in the right direction following the end of the Joe Judge era. With both Judge and former GM Dave Gettleman out in New York, the Giants quickly scooped up Joe Schoen to fill the vacant GM position, and are actively seeking a new head coach to replace Judge. Schoen spoke to reporters on Wednesday and outlined his plans for the 2022 season, including what the Giants aim to do with quarterback Daniel Jones. Per Matt Lombardo, Schoen revealed that he plans to build an offense around the G-Men's fourth-year quarterback.

Schoen indicated his intention to build an offense that compliments Jones' strengths, suggesting that would be one of his primary focal points once a new head coach is brought in. For now, the Giants will be hard at work trying to identify the right candidate for their head coaching vacancy. It seems that whoever does step in to fill Judge's shoes will need to show they have faith that Jones can develop into a solid starter in the league.

Jones is set to enter his fourth year in the NFL and has had some mixed results through his first three seasons. Last year, Jones featured in 11 games for the Giants, completing a career-high 64.3% of his passes for 2,428 yards, 10 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. Additionally, the 24-year-old rushed 62 times for 298 yards and two rushing touchdowns, while fumbling the ball seven times. Turnovers have been an issue for Jones in the past, as he has 29 interceptions and 36 fumbles through his first 38 games in the league.
