The Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday morning held their individual workout with UCLA point guard Lonzo Ball at their practice facility.
Beyond Ball reiterating his desire that he wants to play for the Lakers, one of the minor storylines surrounding him centered on his choice of shoes for the workout session as he decided to wear James Harden‘s Harden Vol. 1 sneakers instead of his ZO2, according to Shahan Ahmed of NBC Los Angeles.

Article Continues BelowMuch has been made of his father LaVar Ball and his company Big Baller Brand that produced his first shoe. LaVar hasn't been shy about promoting his own brand while aiming to keep it as an independent entity away from big corporations such as Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour.
That said, it has become expected that Lonzo will wear his own shoe throughout his first year in the league regardless of where he lands in the NBA draft later this month. The decision for him to go with another pair of shoes aside from the ZO2 may have been used to avoid any distractions created from it alone.
It's worth noting that he did don Harden's shoes during his one season at UCLA and various workouts since the season ended.
