The NBA continues to pursue a way to resume its 2019-20 season, which has been put on hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic.
According to latest intel, the cities of Las Vegas and Orlando are being considered as venues for Western and Eastern Conferences play, respectively, per Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes.

Because the reopening of the economy has been left to the states themselves and not the U.S. federal government, NBA franchises located in a variety of states are seeing certain businesses and public places open following the weeks-long stay-at-home orders.

In Ohio, for example, the Cleveland Cavaliers were able to practice at their facility with certain measures like body temperature taking and player-designated basketball to each player.
After the reopening of some states, hopes increased that the NBA season could resume in one way or another.
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, in a conference call with players on Friday, also reportedly explained that a resumed season would see no fans in arenas, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.
Furthermore, the resumption of the NBA season may only take place in Las Vegas or Orlando to mitigate the need to travel, thus stopping potential contact with asymptomatic individuals. Silver views these two locations as hubs for a 2020 postseason while keeping best-of-seven series intact, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
