Even at 40 years old, NBA free agent Jamal Crawford still has a lot to offer for the 30 NBA teams. The three-time NBA Sixth Man of the Year winner recently revealed he is still keeping himself in tiptop shape during NBA suspension, just in case interested teams begin calling.

“I've been training as if I'm playing. I work out every single day. I was working out today, actually. I've always loved it. I know I can help in some regard, some capacity,” Crawford said in a phone interview Sports Center.

Once regarded as a sought-after target by contenders for his scoring prowess, Crawford's stock has taken a hit over the last few years. The 6-foot-5 scorer last played in the NBA for the Phoenix Suns last season and has been in the free-agent market since the summer.

Crawford certainly lost a step or two as he aged, but he proved that he can still put up points in bunches during his brief stint with the Suns. He became the oldest player to record a 50-point game, dropping 51 points against the Dallas Mavericks in the season finale. J-Crossover even recorded his career-best in assists during his time in Phoenix, recording 14 dimes last December.

Although bewildered as to why he remains unsigned, Crawford bared that he remains optimistic and has no regrets about his current situation.

“I look at it as a win-win. I've been spending a lot of time with my family. From dance recitals to dances, and basketball practices. I don't take it bitterly or being bitter towards anybody. Everything happens for a reason and hopefully, ‘ll get another chance to get back out there. I'll be ready for sure,” he said.
