Prior to the 1992 Summer Olympics, the Dream Team played in a qualifying tournament against Olympic hopefuls. They blew out most of the teams as expected. According to NBA legend Charles Barkley, before one of these games, Michael Jordan played 36 holes in golf but was still able to lock down a player.
Barkley appeared on Coffee With Cal where he shared the great story. According to him, after they played 18 holes, Jordan was insistent to play another 18. As transcribed by MSN:

Game night comes, Team USA versus Puerto Rico. While the team is discussing matchups, Jordan offers to guard the team's point guard, noting that he had read some stuff about him. At first, they were hesitant knowing that Jordan had just played some golf. But MJ proved that this was a nuisance.
“So Michael comes back after playing another 18. We're getting ready for the game and Chuck says ‘Charles, you got this guy. Scottie [Pippen] you got this guy, and then Michael says, ‘Nah, I got him.' It was the point guard from Puerto Rico, and Chuck says, ‘well, he's the point guard Michael.' Michael looks at him and says ‘I said I got him. I read something he said about me in the newspaper, and I got him.' And the whole room's like, dude you just played 36 holes of golf and you're going to guard the point guard? Michael would not let this little dude dribble. He had played 36 holes and he's talking to the guy the whole time like ‘hey, don't you ever talk about me publicly again. I'm Michael Jordan, don't you ever talk about me.”
It's yet another great story surrounding the legend that is Michael Jordan. If he wants to play golf, let him. When game times comes, he'll be fully prepared.
