The NBA has been hot in the news cycle in recent days ever since Chauncey Billups was arrested for his alleged involvement in rigged poker games connected to the Italian Mafia. It's been one of the hottest stories in the sports world, and it appears Pat McAfee made fun of the situation by dropping a joke on Saturday morning's broadcast of “College GameDay.”

While discussing College Football Playoff contenders, the 38-year-old former NFL punter turned entertainer and sports analyst roasted Billups for his alleged antics. McAfee dropped the joke while referencing the odds for some teams to make the postseason.

“I mean, you talk about the Big 12, you can't just keep BYU over here, because there's still a lot of teams that could potentially get there,” began McAfee. “Not a lot of people are betting on 2% chances, unless you're Chauncey Billups at a Chauncey Billups poker game… I mean, he was making some big bets allegedly. It is not likely everybody knew they were rigged games.”

Billups, who is 49 years old, was not the only individual arrested on Thursday, October 22. Current NBA point guard Terry Rozier and former guard Damon Jones were also arrested. However, Rozier is being investigated for allegedly throwing games, while Chauncey Billups is being accused of luring victims to play rigged poker games.

Either way, it's a bad look for the NBA. Some may think Pat McAfee's joke is a bit too soon. Others may find it as hilarious as Desmond Howard. Regardless, the betting and gambling scandals are enough to have the FBI involved.
