The prestigious 2018 Basketball Hall of Fame class are looking fresh in their brand new jackets. The Hall of Fame posted a picture of the group all clad in their new jackets on Twitter. The bright orange jackets are attention-grabbing if nothing else.

According to Steve Aschburner of NBA.com, Jason Kidd couldn't attend the photo op because he was sick. But Aschburner also stated that Kidd plans to be at the enshrinement ceremony on Friday.

As always, the class is made up of a diverse group. There are former NBA stars like Kidd, Steve Nash, Ray Allen, Maurice Cheeks, Lefty Dreisell, Grant Hill, Charlie Scott and Dino Radja. Many of the NBA players entering the league are household names, but Dino Radja is not as widely known.

The Croatian-born Radja only played four years in the league with the Boston Celtics during the mid-90s. But the Basketball Hall of Fame encompasses more than just the NBA. Radja is an incredibly accomplished international player in addition to his successful years in Boston. Radja averaged 16.7 points and 8.4 rebounds per game in four years with the Celtics.

But there are also a couple WNBA legends like Katie Smith and Tina Thompson. Rod Thorn, Ora Mae Washington and Rick Welts are also going in for their contributions to the game of basketball.

It's a banner year for the Hall of Fame and Friday's enshrinement should be compelling for any fans of the game. Each entrant has made significant contributions to the game and they deserve their day.
