Carmelo Anthony hasn't played in the NBA since November last year. He was shut down by the Houston Rockets despite only playing a few games with the team this season. Melo was then traded to the Chicago Bulls back in January, but he was then waived. There were rumors that the Los Angeles Lakers were interested in him, but he remained a free agent until the season ended.
A lot of people are saying that Anthony's playing days in the NBA is over, but it is clear that he and his wife disagrees. It is unsure if any team will be willing to take a risk on him next season, especially considering the fact that he has struggled to adjust to the modern style of play in the NBA over the past couple of years.
Melo was a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder during the 2017-18 season, teaming up with All-Stars Russell Westbrook and Paul George. However, he failed to co-exist with the team, which led to him being traded to the Atlanta Hawks after that season. He then signed with the Rockets last summer, and the hope was pass-first players Chris Paul and James Harden will make him better, but Anthony's stint in Houston didn't last long.
A new season is just around the corner. Carmelo Anthony is determined now, more than ever, to prove that he still has enough gas left in his tank. An opportunity is all that he needs, to show the rest of the world that he can still play at a high level.
