Team USA captured the gold medal on Friday night, beating France in the Tokyo Olympics. Draymond Green was a key piece defensively as always and made a huge play in the fourth quarter to save a possible bucket. Take a look:

You're probably wondering how that was even allowed. In FIBA, they have a goaltending rule where you can knock the ball out of the cylinder and Draymond perfected the move here. Team USA ultimately won 87-82 but at this moment, the game was very close and it definitely looked like the free throw would've hit the rim and rolled in if it wasn't for Green's heads-up play.

Kevin Durant led Team USA against France, dropping 29 points to top off a fantastic tournament for the Brooklyn Nets superstar. He and Draymond actually took to IG Live to call out the haters and also send a stern message to Kendrick Perkins for doubting the US earlier in the competition.
Green wasn't a huge asset offensively but plays like this show exactly why Gregg Popovich selected the Golden State Warriors veteran for Team USA. His basketball IQ and grit on the floor are extremely valuable, whether it's on the international stage or in the NBA.
