Team USA overcame all types of adversity to win the Olympic gold in Tokyo. Despite COVID-19 induced roster cuts, exhibition round losses, and tournament scares on the way, Kevin Durant, Damian Lillard, and the entire US roster came through.

The hard-fought victory got some well-earned cheers from their peers back home. One name who was quick to give Team USA their props was none other then Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James. No stranger to the Olympic games himself, King James knows more than anyone what it takes to win at the international stage.

Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal, one of the casualties from the roster due to health and safety protocol, also shared his pride in Team USA's triumph.

Andre Iguodala, fresh off signing with his old team the Golden State Warriors, was quick to congratulate his former teammate in JaVale McGee. The center was a late addition to the team, but gave them size insurance in case Team USA wanted to go big.

Former Boston Celtics shot-caller Danny Ainge had a horse on both sides, as Jayson Tatum was on Team USA while former Celtics Guerschon Yabusele and Evan Fournier were representing France.
