At this year's NBA trade deadline, the reigning champion Milwaukee Bucks will undoubtedly be seeking to make a few changes. In recent years, GM Jon Horst has done an excellent job of going out and getting players to assist this club win a title. He was able to get PJ Tucker last season, but Milwaukee was lucky in that they didn't have to give up a player they didn't want to trade to get him. Milwaukee, however, does not have many trade assets that they'll be aiming to get rid of before the deadline this year, and Donte DiVincenzo is one of the players who will almost certainly have to be traded.
There have been a lot of conflicting stories out of Milwaukee. They do not want to move him because they believe he has a future, and there have been suggestions that they are working on a deal for him.
Given his ability to defend on the ball at a high level, several championship-caliber teams may be interested in making a move for DiVincenzo. Rebuilding teams are also a good place for DiVincenzo, and to receive a good return for this Bucks squad, so whichever route Milwaukee chooses, they should be able to find someone who is interested in the young guard.
Let's take a look at three teams who should decide to take a look at Donte DiVincenzo at this year's trade deadline
While all of these trades could be tough, some contending teams are going to overpay and due to the players’ salary, they will have to give back a certain package. Not all of these trades are likely, but contending teams are going to be doing everything they can to get better, which could cause some wild trades to be done, as we have seen in the past. Teams in a rebuild type of situation will also attempt to move some key players, and at times, for less than what they are worth.

Donte DiVincenzo 2022 NBA Trade Deadline
3. Hawks
There's no disputing that he may be an excellent fit for this Atlanta Hawks squad. The most important thing the Atlanta Hawks will be searching for in the days leading up to the deadline before it ends on Thursday is a guard who can play above-average defense. DiVincenzo isn't likely to start on this Hawks squad since his offensive game isn't as strong as some of their other guards', but he might find himself in a scenario where he needs to play in key situations given his ability to get stops against high-level offensive players.
Article Continues BelowIt will be fascinating to see if Atlanta makes an offer for him, but it may not make sense from both sides, given that these two teams played in the Eastern Conference Finals last season and there is no motivation for one of them to improve the other by dealing players to the other.
2. Celtics
On Tuesday, it was reported that the Milwaukee Bucks had received a trade offer for Donte DiVincenzo in exchange for Dennis Schroder. This makes sense from the Bucks' standpoint, since they are seeking for a backup guard, and it also makes sense from the Celtics' perspective, as they could use a player who can defend at an above-average level.
Milwaukee reportedly turned down the Celtics' offer because they wanted them to include Grant Williams in the trade. It'll be fascinating to see if a trade like this comes together, but it wouldn't make sense for the Celtics to let go of Grant Williams and only get Donte DiVincenzo in return. It is absolutely something that could be done if Milwaukee adds a pick or another player to this trade.
1. Pacers
Going into his draft class, the Indiana Pacers were one of the teams who were particularly interested in Donte. They were said to be interested in drafting him, he ended up going to the Milwaukee Bucks, but it doesn't rule out the possibility of a future meeting. Because they're likely heading into a rebuilt situation, and he's still in the early stages of his career, this may be an interesting match for him in Indiana.
DiVincenzo is clearly an above-average player, but there are still areas where he can develop. Going to a location like Indiana might not be what he wants to do with his career after winning a championship with the Bucks, but if he can improve his offensive game, this might be the ideal situation for all parties.
