Hoping to build off of their success this past season and make a deep run in the 2023 NBA Playoffs, the Chicago Bulls will be doing everything in their power to stay on the winning track. After retaining Zach LaVine and signing him to a max deal, the Bulls could aim to make another big move by making a trade for superstar forward Kevin Durant. Now that Durant has officially demanded a trade out of Brooklyn, this could be a prime opportunity for Chicago to capitalize on.
For a team on the verge of postseason stardom, making a play for KD could be a trade that gets them over the hump. As one of the greatest players of all time and a generational talent, Durant would catapult the Bulls into immediate title contention. With that, let's now take a look at the perfect trade the Bulls must offer the Nets for Durant.
Proposed Trade
Bulls receive: Kevin Durant and two future draft picks
Nets receive: DeMar DeRozan, Nikola Vucevic, Derrick Jones Jr., and two future draft picks
In this proposed trade, the Bulls get a superstar talent in Durant who would complete their roster and make them an elite scoring team. Between Durant and LaVine, the Bulls would be putting on a scoring clinic on a nightly basis. Plus with a loaded supporting cast featuring Lonzo Ball, Patrick Williams, Alex Caruso, Ayo Dosunmu, and Coby White, the Bulls could become an unstoppable force offensively. Last season, the Bulls were just 13th overall in the NBA with 111.6 points per game, though, they were third with 48 percent shooting from the floor.

The added draft picks would also give the Nets leverage in any future trades they'd decide to make as well. Granted this would be a far cry from the championship roster they previously had, but it'd be a necessary move for them to make to start fresh and still be competitive.
It'd be the start of a new chapter for the Nets, and with a reliable talent like DeMar DeRozan, they'd have a seasoned veteran and clutch performer who'd be able to take over games for them in crunch time. This would be a positive for the Nets as they'd be losing an all-time great in KD. Ben Simmons coming back healthy would add to this effort and give them something to look forward to in the coming season. The additions of Vucevic and Jones Jr. would also give them some frontcourt depth and help them out on the boards.
All-in-all, this is the best trade the Chicago Bulls could make for Kevin Durant and both teams would come out of this deal with a major win.
While the Bulls would become instant title contenders, the Nets would also profit from this deal with an influx of new talent and draft capital. This could be one move that continues to shake up the extremely competitive Eastern Conference landscape while further leveling the playing field. Not to mention this trade would drastically alter the playoff outlook for both teams during the 2022-23 NBA campaign.
