There are at least a hundred better things to see on a Saturday night than a tankapalooza NBA game between the Brooklyn Nets and the Chicago Bulls. But for those who chose to get their dose of weekend entertainment from this match, they were able to witness history unfold right in front of their eyes.
The Nets earned a 124-96 road win against Chicago, thanks in large part to Brooklyn’s hot shooting from deep. Brooklyn made 24 three-pointers on 43.6 shooting percentage from beyond the arc. If that sounds like the Nets just set a new record, it’s because they did – a franchise record to be precise.

The Brooklyn Nets were one 3-pointer shy of tying the NBA record for most 3-pointers in a game. They did, however, set a new franchise record with 24 threes on 55 attempts.

Forward Quincy Acy drilled the most threes in the game for the Nets, as he connected on six of his 13 attempts from long range. Acy finished the contest with a game-high 21 points on 23 minutes of action off the bench. Joe Harris went 4-for-5 from downtown, Allen Crabbe had five triples, while D’Angelo Russell had five treys.
The all-time record for most threes in a game is still owned by the Cleveland Cavaliers, who sank 25 three-pointers last season in a road game against the Atlanta Hawks.
Brooklyn will face the Bulls again this coming Mondy at home before completing its regular-season schedule in a road game against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday.
