The New Orleans Pelicans, Memphis Grizzlies and New York Knicks currently own the top three picks, respectively, in the 2019 NBA Draft. With these three struggling franchises slated to hold on to their picks come this summer, former Duke Blue Devils big man Zion Williamson, former Murray State Racers point guard Ja Morant and former Duke Blue Devils swingman RJ Barrett are all but guaranteed to come off the board in that order.

However, after that, it appears to be an unpredictable run for the rest of the teams in the league as NBA executives seem to have absolutely no idea which players will be picked after the top three comes and goes.

“Most mock drafts that I’ve seen after the top three are way off,” one Western Conference general manager recently told Sam Amico. “Wildly wrong, in fact. Most look nothing like our draft board, and I bet nothing like the draft boards of most teams.”

It is also worth noting that the Los Angeles Lakers, Cleveland Cavaliers, Phoenix Suns, Chicago Bulls, Atlanta Hawks, Washington Wizards and Atlanta Hawks round out this year's top 10 selections as it stands today.

“From the mocks I’ve seen, there is obviously very little intel out there about who will be selected after the lottery,” an Eastern Conference front office executive added, via Sam Amico. “I’ve seen mock drafts where a guy we have listed at No. 15 [overall] isn’t in either round. And that’s from the [mocks] that are usually pretty accurate and trusted.”

The 2019 NBA Draft is scheduled to take place on Thursday, June 20 at 7 p.m. Eastern Time in Brooklyn, New York.
