ESPN college basketball analyst Dick Vitale either scooped a trade involving the New Orleans Pelicans, Indiana Pacers and Atlanta Hawks, or got duped by a trade proposal tweet from The Ringer's Bill Simmons.
It's draft day in the NBA, so let's get weird, right? Vitale likely misread Simmons' tweet, but it doesn't change the fact that his tweet is going viral on social media:
Three-teamer…
Atlanta gets 4
Indiana gets 8
New Orleans gets 10 and Myles TurnerWho says no?
— Bill Simmons (@BillSimmons) June 20, 2019
The @PelicansNBA to me made a super trade in moving to number 10 in the @NBA draft and in addition getting @Original_Turner. They will get as talented of a player at 10 as they would @ # 4; Its just a matter of preference!

We can always count on Dick Vitale to add some color to our day. The Pelicans would actually win this trade if it happened. Myles Turner is an elite defensive player who will continue to improve his game on offense. Again, though, it really looks like Vitale is confused here.
The Pelicans got the No. 4 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft in the Anthony Davis trade with the Los Angeles Lakers. Since acquiring the pick, numerous reports have stated New Orleans is listening to offers for it. The Pelicans are going to take Duke star Zion Williamson with the first overall pick.
The draft is later today in Brooklyn, New York. Vitale is either going to be a legend or the laughingstock of NBA Twitter tonight. It should be a fun evening nonetheless.
