This is great news for Davis and the Pelicans. There was a moment on Tuesday when New Orleans feared the All-Star center could miss two-to-four weeks with the ailment.
In 41 games this year for the Pelicans, Davis is putting up monster numbers. The Brow is averaging 29.3 points, 13.3 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 2.6 blocks per game. Davis, a five-time All-Star, is shooting 50.8 percent from the field, 32.5 percent from beyond the arc and 81.2 percent from the free-throw line.
New Orleans is 22-25 on the season. They are currently in 12th place in the Western Conference standings.
Losing Davis for any amount of time is a serious blow to the Pelicans, but New Orleans will surely take this injury time frame compared to an extended absence. The rest of the team will just have to hold down the fort while AD recovers from the injury.
