The New Orleans Pelicans' roster better enjoy their one-week All-Star break, because they will face a very tough stretch in the middle of next month. Last week, there was an issue with the Smoothie King Center's roof that prevented New Orleans from hosting the Indiana Pacers. With some wet spots on the court as well as continuous leaks, the officials decided it was best for everyone if the game was canceled and moved to a later date. On Thursday afternoon, the NBA announced the postponed game would take place on March 21. The game will be played in the same Smoothe King Center in New Orleans.

The Pelicans were already scheduled to play five games in eight nights from March 15th to March 22nd. With the addition of the replacement game, they will now play six games in eight nights, including a back-to-back-to-back. According to Pelicans broadcasting manager Daniel Sallerson, the last time that the Pelicans played three games in three nights was during the 2011-12 season, when the schedule was reduced to 66 games due to the lockout.

While the stretch includes little traveling and five out of six games at home, they still face some quality opponents. It starts on March 15 with a road game at San Antonio when the Pelicans face Gregg Popovich and the savvy Spurs. The team will travel home to New Orleans to play the Rockets two nights later, facing a team with the best record in the league. The next day, they will host the Boston Celtics, who are the best defensive team in the league. On March 20, Dallas will visit Smoothie King Center to face an already washed up Pelicans roster. One day later, the pending game between the Pelicans and the Pacers will be held. And finally, on March 22, they will close out their homestand against the Los Angeles Lakers.

There is no break for them, as they will have to travel back to Texas to face the Rockets at Toyota Center on March 24th.
