Zion Williamson's life changed forever when the New Orleans Pelicans officially selected him with the first overall pick in the 2019 NBA draft last Thursday.
Williamson had quite the emotional night, sharing a touching message for his mother moments after the big announcement from Commissioner Adam Silver.
After spending some time doing some media duties, the Pelicans star capped off his night with a massive pizza party in the heart of New York City, according to reports by TMZ.

We're told the restaurant — which was shut down to the public — served up a bunch of pizzas, burgers, salads and seafood for the superstar baller and his crew. They also had a pop-a-shot in the house.
Zion and his buddies reportedly partied until 1am.
The Pelicans officially welcomed Williamson in New Orleans the day after the draft. During the introductory press conference, the no. 1 overall pick embraced his new environment with a statement that will surely make Pelicans fans salivate: “This is my home. I’m ready to stay here.”
Williamson ushers in a new era in New Orleans basketball after the previous Anthony Davis regime ended up in flames. The Pelicans seemed dead in the water after Davis publicly demanded for a trade in late January. Fortunately for them, the lottery gods saved their fate with the once-in-a-generation talent from Duke.
Zion is a freak athlete and has all the talent in the world to become a superstar in this league. But what many people rave about him is his outstanding work ethic – which could ultimately separate him from the other guys in his draft class. He'll have to cut down on those pizzas, though.
