Boston Celtics big man Enes Kanter has defended New York Knicks owner James Dolan from the fans who seem to blame him for everything.

Kanter believes that the people blaming Dolan for the Knicks' fate for the past several seasons are wrong, noting how he's really good friends with the owner.

Kanter's comments came in after the Celtics' 113-104 win against the Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Sunday. Boston handed New York their sixth straight loss, dropping them to a 4-16 record — one of the worst in the league in the young 2019-20 season.

Dolan, the longtime owner of the Knicks, has been showered by tons of criticism from its die-hard fans. Since 2001, the team has qualified for the playoffs just four times. The furthest was a trip to the Eastern Conference Seminals in the 2012-13 season.

What's interesting about Kanter's comments, however, was the fact that he also previously criticized Dolan. In fact, he previously said that the reason free agents are snubbing the ‘Bockers was because of the ownership.

It's difficult to tell whether Kanter's comments will quell the criticisms hurled at Dolan. After all, the Turkish big man himself had some heated feelings towards the organization during his stint there. But now, he seems to have moved on from the drama now that he's with a winning team in the Celtics.
