New York Knicks center Enes Kanter was held out of Thursday night's game in London due to safety concerns. Prior to that, Kanter missed two games due to an illness. He's expected to be back in the lineup for Monday's matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder, but Knicks head coach David Fizdale is unsure if he'll play the Turkish-born big man, according to a report from ESPN's Ian Begley:
David Fizdale asked if he’ll play Enes Kanter against OKC: “I’m going to let the game tell me.” He reiterates that getting Mitchell Robinson and Luke Kornet minutes is a priority at this point.

Whether or not Kanter will play is still up for debate, but it seems Fizdale would like to give Mitchell Robinson and Luke Kornet a bit more playing time.
Kornet, a 7-foot-1 center who went undrafted in the 2017 NBA Draft, played well in Thursday's loss to the Wizards. The 23-year-old Vanderbilt alumni logged 34 minutes, scoring 16 points on 5-of-11 shooting from the field (4-of-6 from beyond the arc), three rebounds, two assists, five steals and one block. 12 of Kornet's points came in the first quarter alone.
Article Continues BelowKanter, who is averaging 14.4 points and a team-high 11.0 rebounds, did not travel with the team for Thursday's game because of fears over his safety as an outspoken critic of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
For the Knicks, Thursday marked their fifth consecutive loss, the 13th in 14 tries and the 18th in 20 games. Without a doubt, they'll be looking to get back into the win column in their next outing:
“As much as we try to win games, and winning is a priority every night, we still have to keep in mind our player development,” Fizdale told ESPN. “And we're still getting all our young talent out there to get reps.”
Monday's Knicks-Thunder game is scheduled to tip inside Madison Square Garden at 12:30 p.m. ET with NBA TV having live broadcast coverage.
