New York Knicks star Derrick Rose made sure that Trae Young wasn't leaving New York empty-handed after the Atlanta Hawks superstar blew everyone away with an impressive first-round series performance to eliminate the Knicks in five games. Young was incredible all series long, which pissed the hell out of the MSG.

The former MVP tipped his hat to Young with a classy parting gift to thank the rising star for one heck of a series. After the Game 5 loss, Rose sent Young his signed jersey with a strong message for the 22-year-old.

“Keep leading, King.” Rose signed (via Bleacher Report).

Young made sure to post the photo on Instagram to honor and show respect to the youngest MVP in league history.

Young, for his part, had a monster game on Wednesday. Atlanta's rising star put up his third 30-point game in the series and exploded for 36 points to ultimately boot out the fourth-seeded Knicks. Not too shabby for Young's playoff debut.

Unfortunately, Rose couldn't compete in the fifth and final game of their first-round series against the Hawks on Wednesday. Injuries limited the 32-year-old in Game 5 to just six points in 27 minutes –  a far cry from his 22.8 points per game average in the first four games of the series.

Rose's impressive return to New York now comes to an end, at least for this season. After 35 regular season games and five post-season outings, the former MVP will now be weighing his options as his future in the league is now quite uncertain.
