Enes Kanter's situation with the New York Knicks continues to get from bad to worse. On Saturday, however, he was treated to an unexpected show of support — from the home fans of the Brooklyn Nets.

The Knicks took on the Nets on Saturday, and the Nets supporters expressed their adoration towards the opposing team's big man by chanting his name during the game. This came, naturally, to the delight of the embattled Kanter.

“I heard the fans chanting, `We want Enes! We need Enes!' I want to appreciate the Nets fans for cheering like that. That's love,” Kanter said, via ESPN.

With Knicks starting center Luke Kornett recently going down with an ankle injury, Kanter was primed to re-take his spot as a starter. Instead, with head coach David Fizdale opting to go small and moving up Noah Vonleh to the five spot, Kanter was handed his second straight DNP-CD on Saturday.

In his mind, the team's decision not to play him is straight out depriving fans from seeing him put on a show.

“They pay money to come watch us and they just don't put me out there,” he exclaimed.

Kanter is definitely not in a good place right now, and it appears that he is destined to make his move away from New York in the very near future. With the trade deadline fast approaching, it would not be surprising to see Kanter put on a different uniform sooner rather than later.
