During the matchup between the New York Knicks and the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center, Nets fans began chanting “Where is Kanter.” Kanter had been benched by the organization for his poor play as of late and hasn't seen much floor time. As the fans began to chant “You Need Kanter,” the man himself began to nod in agreement.

The Knicks were absolutely killed on the offensive glass. The Nets nearly doubled the Knicks in rebounds, grabbing 60 against the Knicks' 33. This is unacceptable and in large part why the Nets came out on top.

The Knicks ended up losing by a score of 109-99. They only had two starters but did have four players score in double digits. Point guard Trey Burke scored 25 and dished out five assists, leading the team in overall scoring. Noah Vonleh had 22 points and also grabbed 13 rebounds. Alonzo Trier had 13 points, and Tim Hardaway Jr. added 10.

For the Nets, they had only two starters scoring in double digits but did have six in total. Theo Pinson had 19 points off the bench to lead the way and also grabbed eight rebounds. Shabazz Naper had 18, and Ed Davis added 17 as well. DeAngelo Russell scored 12 points and Joe Harris had 10 as well.

Kanter has struggled this season. Partially it's because of the media storm surrounding him. Kanter wasn't able to travel overseas for a contest because he was afraid of having his visa taken away by the Turkish government. Kanter is criminally liable for treason in the country because he's been outspoken about its failures.
