The New York Knicks were one of the best stories on the 2020-21 NBA season. The fact that just making the playoffs, and an eventual first round exit, was already widely celebrated is a testament to how low the standards of success have been for that franchise.
Knicks fans certainly haven't had much to cheer about in nearly half a century since their last NBA championship. But the fans showed out in a huge way this season for their lovable roster, spearheaded by resurgent All-Star Julius Randle, RJ Barrett, and forever fan favorite Derrick Rose.

What a huge 180 it's been since then, as New York Knicks fans came out in droves for their basketball club, even with their crosstown rival Brooklyn Nets finding even more success on the court. The fans were simply waiting for their squad to stop bumbling about and actually make some competent decisions before they pour in their love and support. We've seen it first-hand this season.
Knicks fans better serve up Gilbert Arenas his crow for this take.
