The New York Knicks have reportedly made no decision about possibly trading their 2019 first round pick in a package for New Orleans Pelicans superstar big man Anthony Davis this summer, according to Ian Begley of SNY.

Davis has requested a trade from the Pelicans. New Orleans, led by David Griffin, is widely expected to talk with the Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics and Knicks this offseason regarding a Davis trade.

If the Knicks get a top three pick in the draft, some believe they might send that pick to New Orleans as part of a package deal to acquire Davis.

But it's worth noting there is no consensus among decision-makers at this point about trading the 2019 first-round pick in a package for Davis or another veteran, sources said.

The Knicks have a total of seven first-round picks over the next five drafts.

Davis can become an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2020. The Knicks have cap space this offseason to sign two max contract players. The franchise has been heavily linked to Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.

If the Knicks get the No. 1 overall pick and select Duke's Zion Williamson, there's no way they can trade him for Davis.

While AD is one of the best players in the NBA, he's 26 and injury prone. Williamson, meanwhile, has his whole NBA career ahead of him.
