NBA Hall of Famer and New York Knicks legend Walt Frazier says he doesn't like what's happening to Carmelo Anthony right now.

Anthony hasn’t played in an NBA game since November of 2018 and his future in the league remains uncertain, as he remains unsigned with just a few weeks left before training camp begins.

Frazier wants to see Anthony get one more shot in the NBA.

“I hope so, man,” Frazier told Brandon Robinson of Heavy. “I don’t like what’s happening to him. He should have a swan song. I’m confident that somebody will give him a chance.”

Carmelo Anthony played in just 10 games with the Houston Rockets last season before the franchise exiled and traded him to the Chicago Bulls in January. The 10-time All-Star averaged 13.4 points and 5.4 rebounds with the Rockets while shooting 40.5 percent from the field, 32.8 percent from beyond the arc and 68.2 percent from the free-throw line.

Anthony told ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith in July he’s willing to play any role on a team. However, there haven’t been any reports indicating a team is interested in signing the future Hall of Famer.

Brooklyn Nets stars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving are reportedly pushing the front office to sign Anthony since KD is expected to miss the entire 2019-20 season with his Achilles injury and Wilson Chandler set to miss the first 25 games of the season due to a PED suspension. It’s unknown if Nets GM Sean Marks and head coach Kenny Atkinson have interest in adding Anthony to the roster.

Anthony, the seventh all-time scorer in Knicks history, played pick-up games with Nets and Knicks players this summer. We'll see if he gets another shot in the league.
