Over the last several years, the New York Knicks have developed a reputation as one of the most dysfunctional franchises in the league.
Now, this status has been taken a step further by their fan base with the recent talk that rising star forward Kristaps Porzingis is available on the trade market.
In response to all of the dismay from fans, team president Phil Jackson delivered a stern, direct message to Knicks fans.
Phil Jackson, asked what he'd say to skittish Knicks fans: "I think we know what we're doing."

Since Jackson took over control of the Knicks two years ago, the team has struggled to take steps in the right direction. They have lost at least 50 games and missed the playoffs in each campaign. This alone has created much doubt that Jackson is capable of running a successful NBA franchise from the top.
That apprehension has only grown with Porzingis being shopped around the league. The Knicks are eyeing additional first-round picks in this year's draft and young talent in any potential deal. The 21-year-old is regarded as one of the most promising big men in the league, proving to be a versatile factor on both ends of the floor.
If Jackson does eventually pull the trigger on a trade involving Porzingis, it would cause an uproar from the fan base far greater than previously with all of the losses the team has experienced over the last four straight seasons.
