Funny how things can change in a matter of weeks.
Following Kevin Durant’s decision to sign with the Golden State Warriors in free agency, his reputation has taken a considerable downturn in the city of Oklahoma, to say the least.
An Academy Sports + Outdoors store in the city have taken their Durant-fuelled disdain to the next level by marking down the price of his Oklahoma City Thunder jersey to ninety-nine percent off. The jerseys can now be purchased for just $0.48. For perspective, they were previously available at the price of $69.99.

It seems as though there may be a slight demand left for the jerseys, as many customers decided to snag the jerseys at the cheap price. Eventually, all of them were sold out.
Obviously, now the jersey is outdated and the feeling around the city isn’t extremely positive regarding their former source of inspiration, there is no telling what the jerseys may be used for. A couple of Durant jerseys have been burnt over the last couple of weeks, which could be the motive of some customers.
As the Kevin Durant merchandise moves on, it may be time for the fans to also. The Thunder still have an elite star in Russell Westbrook and a strong core around him.
Over at the other side, Durant’s Warriors jersey is sure to be a top-selling NBA garment for this upcoming season.
