Following the tragic car accident that lead to the death of his wife, Monty Williams and the Thunder organization announced that Williams would be taking the rest of the season off to take care of his five children. Now it remains unclear whether he will ever return at all.

According to Anthony Slater of The Oklahoman, Williams is now expected to miss next season as well. As of right now, no one knows when or if Williams will ever return to coach the Oklahoma City Thunder. However, we do know he will be coaching to some extent. According to Slater, Williams will be helping the U.S. Men's National Team prepare for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Brazil.
