After starting the season on fire and currently averaging a triple-double, many are considering Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook as the early favorite to win the MVP award.
However, when asked how he feels about being acknowledged as the best player in the league, the 28-year-old UCLA product made it clear that it's not what he is focused on.
Westbrook explained why he does not care about winning the highest individual award and discussed what he wants to win instead.

With his statement, it clearly shows the level of maturity Westbrook now has and how badly he wants to win a championship at this point of his career.
It will be a tall order for the Thunder to achieve that as there are a lot of strong contenders in the Western Conference, but with the pace that he's currently on, it will also be hard to imagine him failing as he is not showing any signs of slowing down.
