In the last several days, the Oklahoma City Thunder emerged as a possible landing spot for All-Star forward Carmelo Anthony.
During a recent interview with TMZ, Thunder center Steven Adams gave his take on the situation with a huge comparison to an NBA legend.
“That's just like saying if Michael Jordan could play for us. That would be awesome too.”
Adams clearly has plenty of respect for the type of player that Anthony has proven to be over his NBA career. He is widely regarded as one of the elite scorers and talents in the league as he's one of five players in NBA history who have averaged 2o or more points and played at least 40 games in each season in each of their first 13 seasons in the league.

A core group that features the reigning MVP Russell Westbrook, All-Star forward Paul George and Anthony would be an interesting combo that would have the potential to make some noise in the Western Conference. At the same, it would be interesting to see these ball-dominant players attempt to play cohesively alongside each other.
However, there may be some issues that could prevent that from being a realistic option with the Thunder not necessarily possessing intriguing trade assets. Anthony also holds the final say in any trade scenario due to his no-trade clause.
There are many wrinkles to this situation that make it difficult to envision Anthony getting moved to any team let alone his preferred destinations in the Cleveland Cavaliers or Houston Rockets.
