Oklahoma City Thunder swingman Hamidou Diallo says Russell Westbrook and Paul George are still his “brothers” despite both stars getting traded this offseason.

George is on the Los Angeles Clippers now, while Westbrook is on the Houston Rockets.

Diallo says you never want to see anyone get traded, but the bonds he and the rest of his teammates built with Westbrook and George will never be broken.

By all accounts, Paul George and Russell Westbrook were great teammates on the Thunder. All the young guys in OKC raved about Westbrook and George's leadership qualities and how they treated everyone on the roster with respect. That's all you can really ask from a teammate.

Hamidou Diallo played in 51 games last season for the Thunder. He averaged 3.7 points and 1.9 rebounds while shooting 45.5 percent from the field and 61.0 percent from the free-throw line in 10.3 minutes per game. With Westbrook and George gone, Diallo will see more minutes this upcoming season. The Thunder will need the youngster to play well to compete in the rugged Western Conference.

On paper, the Thunder appear to have a roster which can be competitive. The team is headlined by Chris Paul, Steven Adams, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Danilo Gallinari, Dennis Schroder, Nerlens Noel, Andre Roberson and Terrance Ferguson.

We'll see if the Thunder can shock some people this upcoming season and make the playoffs.
