Oklahoma City Thunder star Russell Westbrook was called for a technical foul during Monday night's 120-111 win over the Portland Trail Blazers. But on Tuesday afternoon, the league rescinded the technical, per Royce Young of ESPN.
Russell Westbrook technical foul from last night’s game against Portland has been rescinded, according to a source. Westbrook was given a technical for talking trash with the Portland bench. Billy Donovan’s technical from Feb. 5 against the Magic has also been rescinded.

The call was made at the end of the second quarter, after Russell Westbrook sunk two free throws. The Trail Blazers bench appeared to start jawing with him. Westbrook responded, and the nearby official called the technical foul. Damian Lillard made both foul shots for Portland.
The technical foul would have been the twelfth of the season for Westbrook.

The Oklahoma City point guard played roughly 36 minutes in Monday's game and managed to make an impact despite having four personal fouls. He posted a triple-double with 21 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists, while teammate Paul George also put together a triple-double with 47 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists.
Russell Westbrook, 30, has averaged 21.1 points, 11.1 rebounds and 11.2 assists this season. The eight-time All-Star has averaged 22.9 points, 6.9 rebounds and 8.4 assists over his 11-season career, all with the Thunder.
Oklahoma City, at 37-19, currently holds the third seed in the Western Conference. They are three and a half games back of the first seed Golden State Warriors.
As Young noted, a technical by Oklahoma City coach Billy Donovan was also rescinded. Donovan received the technical foul on February 5 against the Orlando Magic when he argued a no foul call on a drive by George.
