The Oklahoma City Thunder shook the foundation of the NBA with a massive blockbuster trade that sent superstar forward Paul George to the Los Angeles Clippers early Saturday morning. It was a move that came out of nowhere and went along with Kawhi Leonard deciding to sign with the Clippers.

Now, more information has come out regarding the Thunder's decision to trade George.

According to a report from Brett Dawson of The Athletic, the Thunder were not planning to trade George. In fact, all of their offseason moves had been designed around keeping George and Russell Westbrook.

Needless to say, everything changed when George demanded a trade to the Clippers. He and Leonard had discussed playing with each other this offseason and that was something the MVP candidate could not pass up.

Oklahoma City is now stuck in a very tough situation. Westbrook doesn't seem happy with the Thunder anymore and there is a real possibility that they end up trading him as well. Thankfully, Oklahoma City is getting major pieces that will help them speed up a rebuild if they do lose both of their superstars.

George has had a bad reputation after forcing his way out of Indiana a couple years ago. He will have even more fans ticked off at him after this decision. Regardless of fan approval ratings, George is heading back home to Los Angeles and could not be more excited about the future.

Only time will tell what the next move for the Thunder will be, but things as fans have known them are changing dramatically.
