Another game, another day where Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook cements himself as one of the best players to have ever played the game.
Wednesday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Russell Westbrook recorded a triple-double with 23 points, 19 rebounds, and 15 assists. It was Westbrook's fourth career game where he had at least 15 points, 15 rebounds, and 15 assists, joining the likes of Wilt Chamberlain and Oscar Robertson, who also accomplished the special feat.
Russell Westbrook becomes just the third player in NBA history with 4 career 15/15/15 games (Wilt has 8, Big O has 14).#ThunderUp #NBA #NBATwitter #CavsThunder pic.twitter.com/Ev2XUqzpC3

Russell Westbrook and Oscar Robertson are the only two players in NBA history to average a triple-double for an entire season. Westbrook has accomplished that feat two years in a row. The explosive guard recorded 42 triple-doubles during his MVP season in 2016-17 and 25 last season.
The Thunder superstar is a walking triple-double. When he doesn't record one, it's a shock because NBA fans are just to used to seeing him get one. Wednesday's triple-double was Westbrook's third of the season. Now that the seven-time All-Star has fully recovered from his left ankle sprain, expect the triple-doubles to pile up now.
One of the best stats of Russell Westbrook's triple-doubles is that the Thunder have a winning record when he gets one. So, the stat padding critics can hate all they want, but wins are all that Westbrook cares about at the end of the day.
