Last season, Oklahoma City Thunder star point guard Russell Westbrook sounded off on his stat skeptics who said he was stealing rebounds from teammates and hunting for assists just so he could get triple-doubles.

Russell Westbrook, who became the first player since the legendary Oscar Robertson to average a triple-double for an entire season during the 2016-17 campaign, said no one in the league does what he does on a nightly basis. The Thunder superstar averaged a triple-double again last season.

Friday night against the Charlotte Hornets, Russell Westbrook filled up the stat sheet once again, as the explosive guard finished with 30 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists in the Thunder's 109-104 victory. After the game, Westbrook was asked by reporters what goes through his mind when he's grabbing rebounds, and the MVP gave a hilarious response:

This is great. Russell Westbrook has sort of a rocky relationship with reporters. It's always funny to hear and see him interact with them after games and this instance was just the latest example of Russ being Russ.

Westbrook has one triple-double on the season, but he's played in only 10 games for the Thunder. The seven-time All-Star missed the first two games of the season recovering from his offseason knee injury and then missed six games in a row due to a left ankle sprain. Now that's he's back healthy, expect Westbrook's triple-double totals to go up as the season moves along.
