Oklahoma City Thunder star point guard Russell Westbrook only has one friend on the basketball court when the game starts, and that's the basketball itself.
Westbrook is one of the fiercest competitors in NBA history. He has the old-school mindset. The former MVP isn't all buddy-buddy with other NBA players during games.
Russ is looking to destroy anyone in his path, and the explosive guard says his friends in the NBA know that:

“If you asked anybody that knows me, that's a friend of mine, they know that when the game starts, I'm not going to talk to them,” Westbrook told Royce Young of ESPN. “It's not even a question. So don't come ask me anything about nothing.”
The mindset Russell Westbrook plays with is why he is one of the most exciting players to watch in the league. The eight-time All-Star is looking for blood every time he steps onto the floor, and it doesn't matter who is standing across from him.
This season, Westbrook is looking to average a triple-double for the third consecutive year. He enters Thursday averaging 22.5 points, 11.3 rebounds and 10.9 assists per game. Westbrook has recorded 24 triple-doubles on the season. The Thunder are 38-22, good for third place in the Western Conference standings.
