Russell Westbrook is the most popular player in Thunder franchise history and it's not even close. He’s going to get his No. 0 jersey retired and will probably get a statue outside Chesapeake Energy Arena in the future.

It’s been an incredible run for Westbrook with the Thunder, one that unfortunately came to an end without a championship. The eight-time All-Star, two-time All-Star Game MVP, two-time scoring champion, two-time assist champion and 2017 regular season MVP finished his SuperSonics/Thunder career with averages of 23.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 8.4 assists. Russ averaged a triple-double the past three seasons, etching his name in NBA history.

Westbrook is the Thunder franchise leader in points, free throws and box/minus. The ovation Russ is going to get when he comes back to OKC is going to be epic and emotional. With the Rockets, Westbrook is reuniting with James Harden.

In life, all good things eventually come to an end. Thunder fans should be happy that they were able to watch Westbrook for all these years. It was one helluva ride.
