Before Russell Westbrook, James Harden and Kevin Durant all went their separate ways, they were a part of the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Westbrook was asked about how important was for him to play with each one of those guys.

“It’s a blessing to be able to play with each one of those guys, but at the same time know and understand each individual journey it took for them to get to the level they’re at now.”
They went on to ask if he had an idea how good each one of them would get and if he could imagine them all fighting for MVP awards which he said no to.
When Harden was with the Thunder he came off the bench and won the Sixth Man of the Year award. The Thunder tried to work out an extension with him, but they could never make out a deal.

He was traded to the Houston Rockets along with Cole Aldrich, Daequan Cook and Lazar Hayward for Kevin Martin and Jeremy Lamb, two first-round picks and a second-round pick.
Harden and Westbrook have kept a good relationship off the court, but he also didn't leave the Thunder on bad terms.
For Durant that is a different story although they seemed to have made some progress towards peace this season, they wouldn't be considered friends.
They have reached a point that it doesn't seem to be all tough guy mentality towards each other and they were actually seen laughing with each other at All-Star Weekend.
No matter the relationship though, it seems Westbrook understands how important these guys were to getting him to the point he is at now.
