Oklahoma City Thunder superstar guard Russell Westbrook is known to be a box score stuffer. He has recorded the second most triple-doubles in NBA history with 138, only 43 behind legend Oscar Robertson. However, he broke one of Roberton's marks on Sunday night: most playoff triple-doubles.
Westbrook recorded 24 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists in the 104-99 loss to the Portland Trailblazers to move into a two-way tie with Wilt Chamberlain for sixth most postseason triple-doubles:
With 24p/10r/10a in Game 1, Russell Westbrook logged his 9th career triple-double in the #NBAPlayoffs, tying Wilt Chamberlain for fifth-most all-time.

Currently, Westbrook only stands behind Larry Bird, Rajon Rondo, Jason Kidd, LeBron James, and Magic Johnson for one of the most impressive feats you can accomplish on a basketball court:

Some fans might point to the fact that even though Westbrook recorded a triple-double, he had a shaky shooting night and the Thunder still lost. The dynamic guard shot only eight of 17 from the field and bricked multiple three-pointers in the last quarter. Westbrook accomplished an amazing individual feat, but the end result was not a positive outcome.
However, the Thunder usually end up in the W column when Russ has a triple-double. The Thunder win about 80 percent of their games when Westbrook completes the stat line, showing that even if he is “stat-hunting”, it usually helps the team succeed.
Regardless of personal opinions on Westbrook and his game, there is no denying the man is an insanely athletic and talented player. That triple-double line will only go higher, especially if the Thunder can advance past the first round.
