Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Russell Westbrook put on an absolute show on Thursday night as he led his team to an overtime victory against the Portland Trail Blazers, 129-121.
Westbrook was the recipient of several jeers from the home crowd throughout the ballgame, and after the contest, the former MVP winner expressed his apathy towards the boos from opposing crowds.
“It doesn't matter to me,” Westbrook said, via Kevin Pelton of ESPN. “It doesn't change anything. But I would boo me too, if I were the other team.”
This is classic Westbrook. Not only did he undermine the efforts of the home crowd in trying to throw him off his game by booing him, but at the same time, he was able to reiterate how huge his performance was against their team.

Westbrook certainly drew the ire of the Portland crowd on Thursday, as the Blazers appeared to have no answer to the two-time scoring champ on the evening. The eight-time All-Star point guard dropped a team-high 37 points against Damian Lillard and company, along with five three-pointers, seven rebounds, three assists, and eight turnovers (ouch!).
Westbrook went toe-to-toe against Blazers star Lillard, who had himself a ballgame as well. The Portland superstar point guard torched the Thunder with a season-high 51 points on 15-of-28 shooting. The 28-year-old also went an astounding 18-of-20 from the line and added five rebounds, nine assists, a steal, and two blocks in a losing effort.
The crucial win allowed the Thunder to hold on to the third spot in the West, and have now put themselves one game ahead of the Blazers.
