There is no stopping the Thunder's Russell Westbrook from assaulting stat sheets with his almost daily show of brilliance on the floor. But, despite the NBA’s reigning MVP sporting numbers of 20.1 points, 10.9 assists, and 9.3 rebounds per game so far this season, the Thunder are just 4-6 in their first 10.

That becomes even more frustrating for the Thunder when you consider the fact that the team is underachieving even though they brought two stars in Carmelo Anthony and Paul George to help Westbrook.

So, what is ailing the Thunder? This may come as a surprise, but it appears the Thunder are still utterly too dependent on Westbrook.

As noted by Weston Shepard of Daily Thunder, Westbrook's stats during the Thunder’s six losses have been vastly different from his numbers during wins.

4 Wins: 18.3 PPG / 13.8 APG / 10.8 RPG / 49% FG / 13.8 FGA / 2.3 3PA / 5 TO / 29.7 USG%

6 Losses: 21.3 PPG / 9 APG / 8.3 RPG / 40% FG / 19.8 FGA / 6.8 3PA / 5.3 TO / 33 USG%

Westbrook has a higher usage in losses, which could also mean that the point guard is trying to carry his team on his shoulders as if it was 2016 all over again when he didn’t have the kind of All-Star talents like George and Anthony to help him out.

It’s all about balance in Oklahoma City, which the Thunder hope they will soon find.
