Steven Adams has enjoyed his usual summer in his native New Zealand, but is bound to enjoy the regular season once it gets underway after his team acquired star swingman Paul George, giving Russell Westbrook and company another star to make a dent in a very competitive Western Conference.
The Kiwi center shared his thoughts on George during a coaching camp in Auckland.

“They bring in really good people who fit well into the locker-room because all that matters, because you could bring in a really good player, but if they screw up the locker room — you'll still lose games. And the whole point is winning games. The front office does a great job of analyzing them as a person and then bringing them in. We're just lucky that Paul George is really, really good [as well].”
George has regained his high-scoring way after a scary knee injury costed him the vast majority of the 2014-15 season, scoring a career-high 23.7 points per game for the Indiana Pacers last season — numbers he can easily replicate or exceed alongside the league's reigning MVP this upcoming season.
His teammate, the newly-re-signed Andre Roberson was a little more willing to show his excitement after the team landed a big star to pair with Westbrook.
“I'm real excited,” said Roberson. “A player of his type of caliber can help this team out a lot achieving the things we want to before the end of the season.
“He's an all-around great player, and it's hard to stop a guy like that. The things we hear are he's a great guy on the court who can do everything. It will be easy for him to fit in with us, as we have a lot of great guys who welcome players. I think it will work out.”
