Hoping to see the Thunder at home in December? If so, the cheapest route to take may be through the primary ticket market.

The Thunder will host seven games at Chesapeake Energy Arena in December, and six of those games currently own cheaper prices on Ticketmaster, the team’s official primary ticket partner, than on resale outlets. Thunder tickets on Ticketmaster can be found for as low as $10 for select games this month.

The New Orleans Pelicans will be the first team to visit Oklahoma City during the month when they play in a December 4 game. It will be the only home game in December where tickets are more expensive on Ticketmaster than the resale market.

Still, the margin is not big. As it stands now, Thunder tickets on Ticketmaster against the Pelicans start from $10 opposed to the $9 asking price for Thunder tickets on online search engine TicketIQ.

If planning to attend any of the six other games at Chesapeake Energy Arena, however, savings will come through the primary market. The Houston Rockets will be in town on December 9, and tickets currently start from just $13 as opposed to the $16 starting price on TicketIQ.

The price difference is more profound in the lower levels. 100 level seats against the Rockets can be found from as low as $55 on Ticketmaster, a notable dip below the $85 price on the secondary market.

The Boston Celtics, Phoenix Suns, and Atlanta Hawks will follow, and each are commanding similar ticket demand on the primary market. Tickets for a December 11 game against the Celtics start from just $10 on Ticketmaster, making it the cheapest Thunder home game to attend in December. $15 and $11 primary tickets are available for the two games against the Suns and Hawks, respectively.

The Minnesota Timberwolves and Los Angeles Clippers will round out the Thunder’s home schedule when they travel to Oklahoma City for respective games on Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve.

The Christmas Day matchup currently sees Ticketmaster listings starting from $15 compared to TicketIQ’s $24 asking price. A December 31 matchup with the Clippers will be the priciest game of the month on either market, though will offer the biggest price disparity between markets. Ticketmaster’s $35 asking price is significantly lower than the $47 get-in price on the secondary market.
