Despite being up by 23 points after the first quarter, the game between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Sacramento Kings turned into a very close matchup as the home team rallied their way to erase the big deficit staring at them.

However, when the game is on the line, the Thunder have a huge advantage against their opponents as they have the reigning MVP, Russell Westbrook, on their side.

With exactly one second left on the clock, Westbrook ran through multiple screens before asking for the ball beyond the arc. He did not waste any time in putting up a shot, which went in and crushed the hearts of the Sacramento faithful, as the Thunder escaped with a 110-107 victory.

Westbrook once again had a very strong outing, finishing with yet another triple-double with 17 points, 15 rebounds, and 11 assists. Paul George top-scored for the Thunder with 26 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists, while the third member of their “Big 3,” Carmelo Anthony, chipped in 23 points including seven 3-pointers, with four rebounds of his own.

The Thunder have now won two consecutive games, including three of their last four outings. It has allowed them to strengthen their hold of the fifth place in the tough Western Conference and are starting to live up to expectations after their relatively slow start to the season.

With the playoffs nearing and Westbrook's confidence at an all-time high, it could spell trouble for the rest of the competition, as the Thunder appear to be a very difficult matchup for whoever they'll face in the postseason.
