Despite a disappointing outing in a Slam Dunk Contest that was his to win earlier this year, Orlando Magic big man Aaron Gordon could make a return to the mid-February classic this upcoming year.
Gordon missed all of his first four attempts during his second dunk, failing to advance to the second round of the competition.
The Magic forward was dealing with a foot injury at the time and in retrospect, he would have done things differently rather than sticking to the plan and going out to compete.

Regardless, the high-flying 6-foot-9 forward wouldn't completely close the door on going back to redeem himself in 2018.
“I think I might go back, but we’ll see how the first couple games of the season play out.”
Gordon is entering a contract year with the Magic, so he'll likely have to pay attention to his wallet before his pride, but given the right situation, it would be fascinating to see if the third time is indeed a charm.
